Attention to the Signs
December 8 - Consciousness / Eel
This combo has come up TWICE this week. Consciousness & The Eel --The ability to adapt and transition ... and to make changes to my health. So, I take this as something to pay special attention to.
Today I've been catching up on the online course Menopause: The Great Awakener by Red School . I highly recommend Alexandra and Sjanie's work to EVERY menstruating / formerly menstruating person.
In the midst, I saw a social media post that stung, just hurt a bit.
Communication is often the main culprit in interpersonal relationships, especially in a small town ... and I am constantly making one step forward and two steps back in my own communication skills. So, I'm processing this "sting" with compassion for myself and hopefully the best light upon the situation. (this ladybug just came tiptoeing by as I'm typing this)
So, the journey continues to attend to my mental and emotional health. To have confidence that I adapt and transition as needed.
"Just shake things off and don't take it personally" sounds great in theory and for self-actualized folks ... I can't say I'm there yet. 🤭
My journey tends to be to practice / fail / practice again / see a bit of success / practice some more / adjust / and so on ... the Gen X mantra to "Fuck around & find out."
So, here's my practice for my emotional health today:
- Follow the ladybug -- who just happened to tiptoe across the advice to:
- Practice Silence
- Trust my inner voice
Then,
- Go for a walk w Jim and ask his advice
- Show up tomorrow for some more practice
