Summer is here! Longer days, outdoor activities, heat & humidity ... Do you have a love/hate relationship with Summer? Do you find your body overheating/dehydrating easily? Do you try to do "all the things" & end up burning up or burning out? And/or are you in the stage of life where hot flashes & night sweats make Summer even more overpowering? This workshop & practice is for you!

Enjoy the best of Summer, while also maintaining balance. This workshop introduces seasonal practices to cool & calm the body, nervous system & even your mind.

Engage in flow-inspired yoga postures, cooling breathwork, & soothing guided relaxation. Explore lifestyle habits, refreshing foods & daily routines to support the body & mind from Ayurveda. You have the inner resources to stay cool, calm & collected this Summer!

In-Person Group Classes at OmBody Studio

You’ve made the decision to join a Yoga class! Now which class to choose? Often, time of day dictates our choice of a group class. Most of the classes I teach are in the morning, and if you’re working on getting into a daily / weekly rhythm, morning practice sets a powerful tone for the day. I offer both weekday & weekend classes.

Another major factor in choosing a class is the style of yoga offered. Please note that any modern Yoga class you take (with a few exceptions like Kundalini & Yin) is a variation of “Hatha Yoga.” That said, traditional Hatha Yoga classes are unique in that classes include more than just postures.

In Himalayan Tradition Hatha Yoga classes, you will experience mindfully-sequenced asana (postures), simple and effective pranayama (breathing techniques), and a guided relaxation to close your practice. Hatha classes tend to move at a steady, intentional pace.

Hatha Yoga is well-suited for beginners because there’s more time to investigate postures and dial in breathing techniques. That said, Hatha is also perfect for more advanced students — holding postures longer and/or practicing various breathing techniques are incredible ways to build strength and focus.

Two more points about my classes: First, I incorporate modern functional movement into classes. Our modern lives require additional, unique movements to counteract the repetitive ways we move (or more likely DON’T move) our bodies. Second, we make generous use of props and variations of postures/techniques. Props like blocks, blankets and bolsters offer support in a posture OR make it more challenging! Each body is unique, and our bodies change daily — I offer lots of variations so you can explore what works for you!

If you’re looking for a well-rounded, intelligently-sequenced movement science that attends to your body, breath AND mind, then Hatha Yoga is for you!

Individual or Small Group Private Sessions

Private sessions are tailored to YOU, with the ultimate goal of cultivating harmony and balance, stability and ease in mind/body/spirit.

My goal is to guide you to trust your inner knowing — that, in fact, YOU are your own teacher. We work together to create a life-long Yoga practice unique to you.

Before your first session, we schedule a 30-minute consultation via online or in-person. We discuss your goals & current states of well-being, as well as the scope of Yoga in relation to your goals. Yoga is not the be-all-end-all, yet it IS one very effective tool in your toolbox for cultivating your personal well-being.

Each session may include any or all of the following elements of the Hatha Yoga system — postures, breathwork, guided relaxation and meditation — along with suggestions for daily practices.

Package Pricing: $250 for four 60-minute sessions.

These private sessions can accommodate 1 – 4 people.
