Inspo from Cardinal

As Winter takes its turn in the wheel of the year, the fiery-ness of the Cardinal is a magical sight amidst the browns, grays & whites of the season.

Maybe you’ve been comforted, as I have, by the spiritual teaching that a Cardinal sighting is a visit from a beloved ancestor.

Winter is an opportunity for reflection, turning inward, storing up reserves … as well as honoring those who’ve passed on.

Is there a loved one you’re remembering this season? You might write about them in your journal, light a candle for them on Winter Solstice, or say a prayer of thanks for their presence in your life.

Awareness of Nature’s rhythms & practice of these small, yet meaningful rituals can bring us back to ourselves — to that fiery-ness within that sustains us through wintry times.
