Like many of you, I've lived in beautiful places all over the country -- I've mountaineered, kayaked, climbed, caved, hiked, rafted & biked in 45+ states over the past 20 years. I've worked as a wildlife biologist, naturalist, environmental educator, wildland firefighter, & adventure guide in some of the most beautiful places in the U.S. I've been fortunate to travel & live in places based on outdoor recreation opportunities & wilderness access.

The short-term communities I've been fortunate to be part of have deeply impacted me and live in my heart always.

What I HADN'T done yet was setting down roots & develop a long-term relationship with a place & become part of that place's community ... including learning how to be part of a movement to improve livability & thriving for EVERYONE (including humans, creatures & environment). Until we moved to Uniontown.

We live in an awe-inspiring natural environment ... & our built environment can complement the wild spaces we are surrounded by, which offer us recreation, solace, inspiration & well-being.

I'm so inspired by the individuals in our community who are using their gifts & energy to develop & support farmers' markets, maintain community gardens, offer recreation opportunities for visitors from around the world, share local history, build active transportation opportunities & green spaces, work to conserve wild spaces & clean up local waterways, host events that highlight diversity & inclusion, ... and on & on.

Deep bows to each of you. We are investing in life & love in our community. #FayetteProud
