A little something to keep you going …

This morning’s creative project … far left is a tag from a scarf Lisa gifted me in class one day … “Be the energy you want to attract.” ❤ Courtney gifted me with the sticker “Laugh.” I look forward to attracting the energies of Spring — who said, “The earth laughs in flowers” … ?

Recently I’ve been rebounding a few minutes in the morning … Thanks for the Christmas gift, Jim Engel ❤.

Spring can bring a childlike attitude with it … Flowers start to bloom where they’re planted, the breeze plays with your hair … there’s a lightness … well, allergies may cramp your style, but we won’t go there today ;).

So rebounding offers me some AM kid-like play time.

I also was turned on to Hemalayaa’s Instagram dance parties … Have you checked these 8-minute-ish movement joyfests? Well, it may be time. No rules, just move your energy, free the body of stuck energy, a grumpy ‘tude, stiffness in joints. Give it a shot: Hemalayaa Instagram page.

The Beginner’s Series at The Yoga Garden is in Week 4! An amazing group of folks playing with yoga in their bodies … If you’re interested in joining my next session, we begin again in May!

Also, I’ve got new dates up for Chair Yoga … Yoga is for every body, & I hope you’ll give Chair Yoga a try! If you practice more yang styles of yoga asana, Chair Yoga can complement your practice. If you’re new to yoga, it’s a great way to begin. If you’re recovering from injury, illness or just don’t want to be up/down from the floor — come & practice!

I invite you to play, get outside, & reap the new-ness & vitality that Spring embodies. See you on your mat, & in the world! Cheers, E

I practice & share Hatha Yoga for a simple reason -- it works. Hatha Yoga in the Himalayan Tradition is a holistic system of philosophy & practices passed down through an unbroken 5,000 year lineage of Himalayan sages. What Hatha Yoga is not: trendy, bendy or one-&-done. What Hatha Yoga is: a systematic approach to uncovering the real, authentic YOU in body, mind & spirit. Hatha Yoga cultivates well-being, stability, clarity & ease in modern life through traditional, time-tested practices. I also recognize both our shared humanity & our differing privileges & barriers -- I am a cis-gendered white female with a graduate degree, who has dealt with family trauma & an eating disorder. My goals in my own practice include to cultivate awareness of my own privileges & social conditioning, unlearn & re-learn in order to be mindful & take compassionate action toward a more beautiful, just & peaceful world for ALL humans, creatures & our Earth. I'm making mistakes daily, & hopeful that I'm falling forward toward these goals & vision. I hope we can walk our paths & support each other along the way.
